The 24th Annual WING DING lands on February 28, 2026, and this year is extra special—we’re celebrating 30 years of supporting the health, well-being, and scholarship programs that lift up Grand Canyon river guides.

Every winter, when the Canyon is quiet and the nights grow long, the Whale Foundation brings the community together for one unforgettable night in Flagstaff, Arizona. And this year’s Wing Ding is shaping up to be our best yet.

Get ready for incredible food from Artisan’s Kitchen, live local music, and stunning work from our Featured Artist: Cazo Seronde. Our legendary auction returns with treasures from talented local artists—jewelry, photography, outdoor gear, pottery, books, maps, vintage river gems, and so much more.

And for our 30th Anniversary?
After Party at The Gopher Hole with live music, sponsored by NRS! We can’t wait to dance with you!

Each year in the depths of winter, The Whale Foundation throws a big party called the Wing Ding in Flagstaff, Arizona. There is always good food, art, music, friends to see, and an auction. All of the proceeds from the event are donated to Whale Foundation so we can continue to offer services and support the Grand Canyon guiding community.
